INSTITUT INSTITUT, a collective formed in 2017, emanates from Brno with tendrils extending into Slovakia, the Czech Republic & Berlin. At its core are Tereza Sikorová and Tomáš Moravanský, who encapsulate the essence of INSTITUT INSTITUT's boundary-pushing ethos. Sikorová, with her penchant for post-clown performances, delves into realms where laughter and terror are bedfellows. On the other flank, Moravanský engages in a provocative dalliance with the malleability of digital and tangible ideological constructs, dissecting the post-truth digital era with a dual-edged humor that teases out the ironies embedded in found images and social constructs.

Making their debut in Vienna, INSTITUT INSTITUT presents 'KIDS!', a cycle of performances at HALLE13 from 25th to 28th October 2023. The four-performance cycle, with quasi-Wagnerian undertones, commences with 'Painting Class!' on 25th October—a performative overture; a palate cleanser of collective painting from 6 to 9 pm. On 26th October, the performance matures with, 'It’s Circle Time!' from 6 to 8 pm, hosting guest artists Mon Štolcová, Barbora Šoganová, Daniela Hanelová, Tomáš Henry Abraham, and Kamil Bačovský, fostering a narrative that peels layers off naivety. The cycle turns once more with a 'Family Friendly Music Concert Event!' on 27th October, from 6 to 8 pm, guest-starring virtuoso Violinist Dennis Schneiderka. Finally, the series culminates in a blissful, albeit confronting, 'Deadly Funny Clown!' on 28th October, from 2 to 5 pm, both closing the cycle and forefronting the nuanced realm of post-clown for which Sikorová is known. 'KIDS!' beckons the audience into an interactive tableau where each event is a pivot, subtly shifting the narrative towards a unique, perverse, and thrilling multidimensional artistic discourse—a very specific gesamtkunstwerk..
